今天，在社会各界的共同努力下，并在新南威尔士州政府的大力支持和批准下，澳大利亚华人历史博物馆正式成立。博物馆旨在全面呈现华人两百年来的移民历程，讲述他们在经济、文化、社会等领域作出的杰出贡献。华人不仅创造财富，推动澳大利亚社会繁荣，更以坚韧与智慧深深融入这片多元文化的土地，成为不可或缺的重要力量。

China is one of the world’s four ancient civilizations, with a magnificent cultural heritage spanning over 5,000 years. The Yellow River, the mother river of the Chinese nation, has nurtured countless generations of diligent and intelligent Chinese people.

As early as the mid-19th century, gold was discovered in the Australian state of Victoria, sparking a “gold rush” that swept across the globe. Tens of thousands of Chinese pioneers crossed the seas to Australia, demonstrating extraordinary perseverance and determination as they took root, built new lives, and contributed to their adopted homeland. Their stories form an inseparable part of the 200-year history of Chinese migration and struggle in Australia.

Whether you are a researcher, a student, or simply someone who loves history and culture, we sincerely invite you to explore, learn, and engage with the rich and moving stories of the Chinese in Australia.

Today, with the joint efforts of all sectors of society and the strong support and approval of the New South Wales Government, the Australia Museum of Chinese History has been officially established. The museum aims to comprehensively present the 200-year journey of Chinese migration to Australia, highlighting the remarkable contributions of the Chinese community in the fields of economy, culture, and society. They have not only created wealth and promoted Australia’s prosperity but have also integrated deeply into this multicultural land with resilience and wisdom, becoming an indispensable force.

The founding of this museum is the result of the collective efforts of the Australian Chinese community and the fulfillment of a long-cherished wish passed down through generations. At present, the museum is actively fundraising to build a modern facility that meets the standards of the 21st century. This vision has gained strong support from business leaders, social activists, philanthropists, and Chinese community organizations. Every contribution is an act of respect for history and a commitment to preserving it for future generations.

The museum is not only a guardian of history but also a platform for cultural exchange. We will collaborate with major museums and cultural institutions in China and Australia to host exhibitions, forums, artifact displays, and artistic performances, promoting the spread and development of outstanding Chinese culture in Australia, and deepening mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of China and Australia.
